Victoria A. Selvaggio is a literary agent and co-owner of Storm Literary Agency. Drawn to the publishing scene first as an author, she joined SCBWI: Northern Ohio as a member in 2004 and soon joined the executive board as a volunteer. After doing several jobs on the board, she became the Assistant Regional Advisor and then Regional Advisor. During her term as Regional Advisor, her desire to help writers and illustrators reach their publications goals inspired her to become an agent.
In 2013 an opportunity presented itself and she began reading for the The Jennifer De Chiara Literary Agency. In 2015, she joined as an Associate Agent. After years of growing her client base and knowledge of the publishing industry another opportunity presented itself and in 2018, she joined forces with Essie White, founder of Storm Literary Agency. With over twenty-seven years as a business owner, Victoria has enjoyed growing the agency's client base with talented writers and illustrators, while also helping build the agency from within with business practices and procedures. She's also had the pleasure of hiring, training, and mentoring motivated agents who possess the same ideals, literary interests, goals, and approaches to the industry. |
Books and Beyond Organization Owner Vincent Selvaggio has vast experience of over thirty-seven years in the security industry. From applications engineering to troubleshooting to assisting a customer base, Vincent's background has spanned from his day job to assisting with the Selvaggios' business and volunteer obligations.
While not a member of SCBWI: Ohio North, Vincent volunteered regularly at events, providing hours of support, guidance, and time. Through those events, he's found a natural calling for providing opportunities for those seeking a sense of community in an organization that is dedicated to more than just the events it provides. As Vincent has learned growing up in a family of musicians, one does not learn how to play an instrument without instruction, passion, and conviction. His mission is to welcome those eager to perfect his or her craft, from writers to authors to composers to screenwriters and beyond! |
