Read-a-thon Themes
The Read-a-thon themes provide variety and interest to the Read-a-thon, particularly in schools where the program is implemented year after year. The theme is represented in the bulletin board artwork, the student markers, the student posters, and the read-a-thon incentives (pencils, erasers, buttons, folders, etc.). Students can read books on any subject to participate in the Read-a-thon; they do not have to read books related to the Read-a-thon theme.
